I
am a designer who grew up in a close-knit family in New Bedford,
Mass., a family of hard workers, many in the textile business.
I got a degree in textiles and understand a lot of the nitty-gritty
details of big-scale production. I did exacting work in computer
graphics for Titleist, the golf ball people, and along the
way I got an honors certification in Computer Graphics & Web
Design from Clark University.
I'm
a practical guy. My Dad can fix anything, and I'm a chip
off the old block. I have a compelling curiosity about working
out solutions to problems, and that's a big asset when dealing
with complex computer software. I like challenges and complicated
design projects.
For
years I've studied about plants and medicinal herbs. I am
creating a "Peace Garden" on Burnside Island, where
I hope people of all faiths and walks of life, can come and
find solace and a motivation to go inward and slow down for
awhile. |

My
"MBA" comes from decades of learning on the job. Some
of it was corporate; a lot more was entrepreneurial. It took
me many places and exposed me to great diversity, which broadened
me and (I think) made me a better person.
Once
I gave up the corporate thing I worked in hospice and writing,
and lately I've been helping individuals and small companies
transit into the info age. With Marc I've created some nice
websites -- I think ours are refreshing, without a lot of
distraction, and easy to navigate.
I've
trained, both classroom and individual, in everything from
Dreamweaver to QuickBooks. I've set up a lot of people for
the first time on the web, and helped them expand into real
enjoyment of their computers.
I'm
at work on mindfulness programs-- learning to stop and recognize
the present moment in our chaotic lives -- with a chaplain
friend. I believe each of us has the power inside, to turn
the world into a place of harmony. One at a time...
